My name is Lucy I live in Woodingdean, Brighton. I have over 30 years of childcare experience. I always knew, from an early age, that I wanted to work with children and in 1987 I qualified as an NNEB Nursery Nurse.
Since then I have worked in a number of different settings with children of all ages. I have worked as a Nanny, in creches, as a Teaching assistant in Primary schools and I also spent eleven years working in a Special Needs school.
When I had my own children I decided that I would like to become a childminder which would enable me to still do the job that I loved but be able to work at home caring for my own children as well as others. I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2004. At my last Ofsted inspection I received an overall rating of ‘Good’. I am also registered as a Nanny where I care for children in their own home
I have completed the Childminding training ICP course, Safeguarding training, I hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and am fully insured.
My ethos is to provide a safe, warm, homely and stimulating environment where children can unwind after a busy day at school. A place where parents know they can safely leave their children and that their child’s well-being is paramount.
My main aim is that they are happy, have lots of fun and want to come back each day!
