My name is Lucy I live in Woodingdean, Brighton, with my husband, our two daughters and our two very friendly Labradors, Stanley and Meg.
I have worked in childcare for over 30 years, I qualified as an NNEB Nursery Nurse in 1987. Since then I have worked in schools with children aged between the ages of 3 – 16. I spent eleven years working in a Special Needs school; I have also worked in a crèche. When I had my own children I decided to become a childminder so that I could still do the job that I loved but be able to work at home with my own children.
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2004. At my last Ofsted inspection in March 2016 I received an overall rating of ‘Good’.
I have completed the Childminding training ICP course, I hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and am fully insured.
My ethos is to provide a safe, warm, homely and stimulating environment for children to unwind after a busy day at school and sometimes during the school holidays. A place where parents know they can safely leave their children and that their child’s well-being is paramount.
My main aim is that they are happy, have lots of fun and want to come back each day!
