Admissions/Settling In

When you first contact me I will take a few brief details of what you require, we can then arrange a meeting with you and your child/children to discuss your childcare requirements, e.g. Hours, days etc.  If you do decide to proceed, there are several forms which must be completed before I can assume the responsibility of caring for your child. This is to ensure that your child will get the best possible care from me. I will require a deposit of £20 to secure your place.

Settling in new children

I understand how difficult it can be for parents to leave their child with a
childminder and return to work. I will therefore work with you to ensure your child is settled and that you are happy with the care that I am to provide.
Before your child starts I will have given you opportunities to provide me with lots of information about your child, their likes and dislikes, favourite activities etc. It gives me the opportunity to start to build a relationship with you and your child and to understand both your needs and wishes. I will also ask your child to complete an ‘All about me’ sheet. It is important that you and your child are relaxed and happy in my home and with the care I provide.
The first month of your child’s enrolement will be classed as a trial or settling in period. During this time you or I may terminate the childcare agreement at any time if we feel the arrangement is not fulfilling our needs. After the trial period is complete four weeks written notice is required to terminate the agreement.
